Work orders and manufacturing
Every product has a separate work order that gathers all the transactions linked to it, from material issues to production. The order is created directly from the sales order or from the manufacturing screen with the customer's details, and its process type is set: assembly, disassembly or detailed manufacturing.
Raw materials and stock
A bill of materials for every manufacturable product sets the components, their quantities, units, storage location and work centre. Materials are issued from the warehouse to each work order separately, so you know what raw material every order consumed.
Production costs
Any expense that appears during production is recorded on the work order itself, whether indirect costs or labour charges. Every amount is posted in a separate journal entry and enters the product's final cost accurately.
Production and delivery to stock
When manufacturing ends you record production from the final production form, and the finished product enters its storage location ready for sale. Part or all of the quantity can be produced, in more than one run per work order, and the order closes automatically when the quantity is complete.

Can a work order be created directly from a sales order?
Yes. When recording a sales order you generate a work order from it carrying the item and customer details, and the two stay linked so you follow the customer's request from sale to production. You can also start from the manufacturing screen directly.

How does the system determine the raw materials for each product?
Through the bill of materials defined for every manufacturable product, which the system relies on when issuing raw materials to the work order. The bill appears on the product card, and special components can be added to a specific order when needed.

Can labour charges or extra expenses be recorded on a work order?
Yes. The system supports two kinds of extra costs: indirect costs and labour charges, including outside experts. Every amount is tied to the specific work order and added to the product's final cost.

Can part of the quantity be produced and delivered to the warehouse?
Yes. There is no need to wait for the whole quantity; record every produced run as soon as it is ready and it enters stock directly, while the work order stays open until the required quantity is complete and then closes automatically.

Is manufacturing linked to accounts, stock and e-invoicing?
Yes. Raw material issues and finished-product production are reflected in stock balances, and extra costs in the accounts through journal entries. Sales invoices are issued compliant with e-invoicing in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
